StarCraft II – Assault and Support

Zealots which are trained in Gateway are a group of warriors that armed both strong wills and heated eager of battles. They are peerless assault templar warriors and equipped with Psionic Blades. Although they are very basic ground units in the game of StarCraft, zealots are capable and tough enough to fight though battles.

Each zealot is trained for decades in hand-to-hand combat, tactics, pain tolerance and martial discipline. Zealots are taught to hate their enemies with a white hot passion and to hunt them down without mercy.

According to game designers, the zealot will be enhanced a new ability named Charge which allows the zealot to rush to its enemy and attack like a mounted knight. The charge will remove the zealot’s largest weakness – closed combat only and boost the usage of the zealot up a little.



The Protoss Colossus, like it is named by the game designers, is probably one of the most recognizable of the new Protoss units in StarCraft II.

Trivia aside, the Protoss Colussus looks like a replacement to the Reaver. The Reaver has a splash attack (scarabs) and apart from its obvious role as a ground support for Zealots, it is often used in hit-and-run missions on enemy bases. The shuttle carrying a reaver and support troops is definitely one of the better weapons in the Protoss arsenal.

The towering colossus is a protoss robot design dating back to the bloody conflicts of the Kalath Intercession. It strides across the battlefield on four tall, slender legs which give it an extremely high level of mobility. The great height of the machine allows it to step up and down cliffs and other steep elevations with little difficulty, and gives it a dominating field of fire.
